Leather Hobo Tote Pattern - 2 versions - DIY Leather Slouch Purse Pattern - Leather Hobo Tote Bag

This is a leather pattern for a very unique purse. I'm calling it a Hobo Tote, or a Slouch Bag.

A Hobo Tote is awesome cause it combines the slouchy hobo casual feel with the stability of a tote bag. It's super easy to just throw a few things in and hit the road. Perfect for a quick run to the local farmer's market and still stylish enough to carry during a gallery stroll. In the video I'll show you how I made it and show a couple of versions for using it as a handbag or with a longer strap, crossbody.

Sizes: approx. 14" at it's widest, 5 inches deep (at the base), from the bottom to the purse opening is 7 inches, and then from the bottom to the top (where it connects to the strap) is 13 inches.

My recommendation is to use a little thicker, medium temper leather for the main body.
A super loose temper will "slouch" more than Tote bags should, and won't have that structure.
The strap and clasps are 1inch and the grommet (if you choose to use it) is 1/4 inch.

Print pattern using the size selection of "Full Size" or at 100%.
There are measurement guides on the first page to make sure it was printed at the correct size.
